St. Bartholomew Academy follows the recommended curriculum of the Archdiocese of Newark, which is also aligned with the state curriculum learning standards. Each subject is taught and reinforced as a coordinated continuum of skills by certified teachers. Daily classroom instruction integrates sound methodology, varied assessments, and integration of technology in order to differentiate instruction and actively engage students.
Strengthening our students’ faith and understanding of the Roman Catholic doctrines is the primary focus of the St. Bartholomew Academy’s religion curriculum, which permeates throughout the student’s school day. Students participate in various experiences and service projects which nurture their spiritual growth and faith formation.
All St. Bartholomew Academy teachers integrate technology into daily lessons using Smart Boards, educational websites, a computer lab, and tablets, or Chromebooks, in order to enrich learning. Every student in Grade 5 through Grade 8 is assigned a Chromebook for daily in-school use. Pre K through Grade 4 has access to tablets and a 26 desktop computer lab.
